On clear and silent nights
When we are gazing at the stars
One always shines the brightest
And we know that one is ours
For it's our very own twinkling star
...
Who lives in heavens care
And whose precious little feet
Now pitter-patter way up there
If only you were here with us
The hurt would melt away
But there’s just the awful sadness
That is present every day
So angels do one thing for us
And all we ask is this
Make sure that our own little angel
Will catch this great big kiss ♥
God how I miss you Carol:(
There is no other like you, never will be.

♥ ♥My Beautiful Angel has gone on her Journey ♥ ♥

..but she will always be within my heart and like I said before ..there are no goodbyes.

 How I miss her so..

Here is a Thank-you letter Leanne Hall asked me to write to the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Club as she will be meeting with the owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday January 9. i just thought I'd share this..

Re: Gratitude Letter

Initially, I would like to express my gratitude towards the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Organization and its associates for making the visitation possible for my late daughter, Miss Caralyn Estelle Dawn Wabasse aka Carol.I am very certain she was emotionally touched to meet with the genuine Maple Leafs Members and I know she was also very thrilled when we told her that 3 of the Maple Leafs Players were coming to visit her in person. She cried tears of joy, and brought us to tears seeing her so happy despite her illness. When I reflect back on that day, it was the last time she was being fully conscious of human interactions. The day after she slipped into a coma due to the complex conditions she had, sadly a week later she passed away peacefully, on January 22.2012, time 8:05 Pm @ St. Micheal's Hospital, with her loving family by her side. As a mother, going through a difficult ordeal of losing a loved one is a life changing and challenging experience, and I believe a gesture of goodwill and empathy goes a long way. Carol never gave up hope and faith, her stamina is a lesson for all of us. Whatever circumstances we face, challenge is a part of life. Life is precious and it should be lived wholeheartedly. Carol was an inspiration to many, and her enthusiasm of open-mindedness touched everyone in a personal and collective level. I am proud to say she did her best to live life to the fullest. She was laid to rest on Friday January 27. in her hometown of Webequie First Nation, Ontario. We would also like to acknowledge the beautiful flowers that were sent for her funeral, with our kindest regards of much appreciation to the Toronto Maple Leafs Organization .May the Spirit of kindness bless you all.

Thank you, sincerely Lynn Wabasse

Carol Keesis Lovato was a shining star and a true angel. Carol made sure that everyone around her felt loved. She had a soft, gentle personality and kids would flock to her as she always made them laugh and smile. She took the time for all kids to feel special. She loved her brothers, sisters and family so much. She talked about all of you all the time. She was a true and devoted friend. Carol and... I spoke a lot about friendship and I can tell you that she was most concerned about her friends continuing to use drugs and alcohol. She wishes for all of you to be clean and to stay in school and get your education....that is her wish for you. Carol was so incredibly intelligent. She was the strongest, most independent 18 year old I have ever met. But what I always think is remarkable is that she truly valued her culture and her traditions. She spoke the language, was respectful to her Elders and was so incredibly proud to say she was from Webequie First Nation. I know this is going to be so difficult and it doesn't make any sense. But we all have to remember what did Carol teach us?......To love unconditionally, to care with all your heart, to be a true friend, to honour your culture and traditions, to value your family......I am forever going to remember what Carol has taught me and make sure that my children practice our teachings from Carol. Carol, it has been a true honour to have you in my life and we are forever connected. May your spirit and teachings continue to live in all of us forever. I miss you dearly but someday we will see each other again.

Leanne Hall
